Poem About What Friends Will Do
For Each Other
I wrote this poem after seeing this one picture. It
had a guy, sitting down and looking down, and a
girl sitting next to him. The guy was saying "I'm
all alone", and the girl was saying "I'm here". The
guy was completely unaware of the girls presence,
as he wasn't looking up. This poem is from the
girls perspective and how she feels. She must have
felt so sad from being neglected day after day by
the boy. But even though it was sad, she still
would have stayed with him, until the very end.




If you feel there's nothing else to do,
If you think no-one's here for you,
Turn your head and look at me,
Because by your side, I'll always be.
Through today, unto tomorrow,
I'll help you get through this sorrow,
Holding your hand, right by your side,
Together we can spread our wings and fly.
Away from this terrible place,
To a land, where happiness, is all that we'll face,
Together, forever, just you and I,
Lost in happiness, side by side.
But, alas, it's all just a dream,
As you hang here, in front of me,
So I step up and brace for the fall,
By your side, flying once more.
