youe Smile

Image
Poet: Julie Hebert, Lindaikejisblog.com Your smile lights my way through life, And keeps me warm inside. It reminds me that people are good, Especially when their snide. Your smile helps me though each day, Knowing I'll soon see if again. It even makes me want to smile, Even when I'm in pain. Your smile can take my moods away, And help me to see it another way. It reminds me not too take things so hard, And so seriously every day. Your smile I am so very thankful, And of course for you as well. You always know just what to say, And never let me dwell. So thank you so much for all your smiles, And for loving me each day. Life can be very tough but thankfully, I've got you to help shine my way

A Day will Come

Image
A Day Will Come lindaikejisblog.com Poet: Julie Hebert , A day will come in every life, When appreciation is rendered. And this should be taken seriously, And given with love and tender. Anyone who deserves appreciation, Must have done something great. So share with them the way you feel, And always treat them right. But keep in mind that appreciation, Should be given again and again. If you truly appreciate, You'll remind them how great they've been. Do something special to thank the ones, Who've made a difference to you. But don't forget to thank them again, For everything they do.

What If

Image
What If Poet: Julie Hebert, © 2012 Asking "what if this" and "what if that", No good has ever come. The questions that these words ask, Are not as good as some. "What if" really means the same, As doubting what you've done. You can't go back and change the past, What's done is what is done! "What if" also can be the words, Spoke of thee unsure. It's just like those who speak the words, I'll try, instead of sure. Saying words of so little power, Is a wasted pun. Not to mention the uncertainty, You share with everyone. Next time you find the words "what if" Crossing your mind. Replace them with more certain words, Like "we should do" or "we should find". The worst thing any of us can do is, Doubt ourselves from the start. So think about the words you use, And choose words that make you sound smart.

How To Acconplish Your Work

Image
How You Accomplish Your Work Poet: Julie Hebert How you accomplish your work , Says a lot about who you are. As many other things can, Life can be very b izarre. Do you attack your work, With confidence that goes for miles? Or do you approach with fear, Having trouble tackling the piles? To have confidence in your work, Means you are self assured. You love everything about your job, And feel very secure. If you approach with fear, You're usually not so sure. The work you do makes you uncomfortable, And you definitely don't feel secure. It often makes me wonder, How people work in jobs they hate. Sometimes they have no choice, And other times they sit and wait. For those who have a choice, To do the work they love. Count yourselves very lucky, And remember to thank above. Be encouraged by this motivating poem by Poet Ellen Gates. If you are considering work but feel the work you are not doing is important then read this poem. No matter what the job it plays a role in the succ...

Your Mission

Image
Your Mission Poet: Ellen M. H. Gates If you cannot on the ocean Sail among the swiftest fleet, Rocking on the highest billows, Laughing at the storms you meet; You can stand among the sailors, Anchored yet within the bay, You can lend a hand to help them As they launch their boats away. If you are too weak to journey Up the mountain steep and high, You can stand within the valley. While the multitudes go by; You can chant in happy measure. As they slowly pass along; Though they may forget the singer They will not forget the song. If you cannot in the harvest Garner up the richest sheaves Many a grain, both ripe and golden, Oft the careless reaper leaves; Go and glean among the briars Growing rank against the wall, For it may be that their shadow Hides the heaviest grain of all. Do not, then, stand idly waiting, For some greater work to do; Fortune is a lazy goddess, She will never come to you. Go and toil in any vineyard, Do not fear to do or dare, If you want a field of labor. You can...

Figure It Out

Figure It Out Figure it out for yourself, my lad, You're all that the greatest of men have had, Two arms, two hands, two legs, two eyes, And a brain to use if you would be wise. With this equipment we all began, So start for the top and say "I can." Look them over, the wise and great, They take their food from a common plate, And similar knives and forks they use, With similar laces they tie their shoes, The world considers the brave and smart, But you've all they have when they made their start. You are triumph and come to skill, You can be great if you only will. You're well equipped for what path you choose, You have arms and legs and a brain to use, And the Man who has risen great deeds to do Began his life with no more than you. You are the handicap you must face, You are the one who must choose your place, You must say where you want to go, How much you will study the truth to know. God has equipped you for life, but He Let's you decide what you want to...
